Struggles of the Penguins, and how they could be fixed

Celina Pompeani, who works for the Penguins as the host, reporter, and producer of PensTV and growing up in Pittsburgh, appears to be the perfect candidate for the interview.

The first question was about what the Penguins could do in the future to potentially win the cup  including about new contracts like Brian Rust’s new 4 year deal, and with Jake Guentzel on his contract ending soon, and what they could do to improve from last year.

She replied, “They really like them, Rust and Jake are young, and they will definitely resign Jake like they did with Rust.”  

Pompeani then followed up by talking about the Ryan Reaves trade and said “Reaves didn’t do as well as the fans hoped.” Back in St. Louis he was a one-man wrecking crew. In his seven seasons with St. Louis he averaged around 189 hits. When he played with the Penguins he only had 161 hits, so a little less than average.

Pompeani said about Fleury trade news, and if trading him was the best idea. Pompeani said, “No one wanted to see him go, but Murray has so much promise, and when he gets to the age Fleury is at now it will be worth it.”
